The location for all technology sectors
Setting-up the Technology Quarter in close vicinity to the Ruhr-University Bochum, the University of Applied Sciences Bochum, and to the Technology Center Ruhr (TZR) has created a promising sustainable location in Bochum for companies in the high-tech sector.
The City of Bochum – in the context of a development concept for the Central Ruhr Region – has been working on the development of a high-quality location for technology companies since 1995. This led to the development of this approximately 12-hectare site with the aim of bringing existing research and development potential together in one place. In contrast to the Health Campus, this Technology Quarter is open to all technology sectors.
The development plan states that three to four storey high buildings are permitted here.
