New state coordinator for Education and Health
After coordination for the state programme for education and health moved to the Healthcare Campus in Bochum last November, the new state coordinator has now started work on the premises of the State Centre for Health NRW. Winfried Köhler is the successor to Johannes Kohtz, who carried out these tasks until the end of January.
“I am looking forward to my new tasks, coordinating the facilitation of healthcare and quality development in children’s day-care centres and schools. The Healthcare Campus in Bochum provides me with an excellent framework for this”, Köhler explained.
“I wish Winfried Köhler all the best for these very important tasks and look forward to working well together”, said Arndt Winterer, the head of the State Centre for Health North Rhine-Westphalia responsible for campus development. “Connecting the key future-oriented topics of education and health is an important building block in our campus idea, which is becoming more and more visible”, explained Winterer. The State Office for Coordinating Education and Health helps schools and children’s daycare centres to become good, healthy education facilities. The state programme is funded by the Ministry for Schools, the Ministry for Family Affairs as well as the AOK Rheinland/Hamburg and AOK Nordwest, the Barmer GEK, the BKK Landesverband Nordwest and the North Rhine-Westphalian Accident Insurance.
