RadiologieKongress Ruhr attracts specialists to Bochum for workshops and lectures
From 28 to 30 October 2010, and for the third time since 2008, radiologists and nuclear physicians were invited to the Radiology Congress Ruhr (RKR) in Bochum’s RuhrCongress centre for continuing education sessions and to take part in discussions with their colleagues.
The congress is put on by the Deutsche Röntgengesellschaft, the Rheinisch-Westfälische Röntgengesellschaft and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nuklearmedizin.
It has only taken three years for the event to develop into one of the top venues for radiological continuing education. Demand is very high for the mix of events provided at the RKR, which is made up of practice-oriented training and cutting edge scientific discussions.
Last year the organisers counted 910 visitors – 30 percent more than the previous year. This year the area for the accompanying exhibition has had to be increased once again.
The highlights of the programme include a workshop on questions relating to private practice billing as well as the courses “Fit for Specialist Exams” run by the Rheinisch-Westfälischen Röntgengesellschaft on the topic of “joints”. Due to the high demand from around 250 participants, there will once again be an additional training course for radiology assistants (MTRAs) to run parallel to the scientific programme on the second day.
It has been possible to gain the Association of Medical- Technical Professions in the DRG (VMTB) as a specialist partner here. And for the first time there will also be a separate module for up-and-coming radiology technical assistants.
Well-known partners from industry will be showcasing their services as part of the accompanying exhibition as well as in the form of industry symposia for the congress delegates. medlands.RUHR, RKR’s partner, is organising the evening event on the first day of the congress and is also present with their own stand at the accompanying exhibition.
